Roxy ’79 Vintage, founded by 3 young Amsterdam entrepreneurs, arose not only from a love for and knowledge of vintage clothing, but above all from the need to make the recycling of clothing more common and to increase people’s ecological awareness.

Let us explain a little: in the Netherlands more than 200 million kilos of textiles are thrown away every year. While new clothes cannot be found to satisfy the hunger of our consumer society as quickly as possible. Why should we keep buying everything new when so much beauty has already been made? Why don’t we all opt for a more conscious and sustainable alternative, where you are also unique, because it is not mass produced? Buying existing clothing offers a solution. And we are eager to show you why this is so much fun.

In Roxy ’79 Vintage, located at 36 Nachtegaalstraat in Utrecht, you will encounter vintage clothing, shoes, bags, accessories and jewelry. From the 60s and 70s, where hippies largely determined fashion, to the colorful 80s, and the eclectic funky 90s. All items you will find at Roxy ’79 are carefully selected by us.
